The Gentle, Caring and Intelligent, Goldador is a very common mixed dog breed which is a cross between Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever. This breed is a gift to Dog lovers who will get to experience the best of both breeds in one.
History
Goldador is a recent addition to the mixed breed category with a history dating back only a few decades. They are created by crossing Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever. They can also be created with two Goldador. As with any mixed dog breed, Goldador shares a collective history with its parent breeds.
Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retriever breed originated in Newfoundland in the 17th century. They were trained by fisher folks to retrieve fishing nets from the waters which greatly attracted the Britishmen to take along this breed into the United Kingdom in the earlier 19th Century. The breed attained instant fame due to its friendliness, hardworking and trainable nature. In the early days, labrador was called St. John dogs and was later got renamed Labrador Retrievers by the Earl of Malmesbury.
Golden Retriever
With unclear history, Golden Retrievers are believed to have Descended from the likes of Sir Dudley Majoribanks. His continual effort to create yellow retrievers in the mid-18th-19th century resulted in Golden Flat Coats and later the name was changed to Golden Retrievers in 1913. Golden retrievers are one of the popular dog breeds today.
