My Cats love this fountain!
The media could not be loaded.  I have two cats and one was found to have crystals in his urine. The vet emphasized the importance of having him drink more water to prevent those from worsening. I have two of these fountains and my cats love them. My dog does, too, but she makes a huge mess when she uses it so I put it in a spot that she can't get to easily--she has her own water bowl. 😉 One of my fountains has a switch to turn the blue light on and off and the other fountain does not. Not sure why they're different but the ability to turn off the light at night might be important to you if you plan to have this in your bedroom like I did. The light is useful for seeing when the water level is low. The fountain is mostly silent but when the water gets low it makes a trickling sound. I am glad for that b/c generally if I can hear I know it needs to be refilled. Definitely a great purchase! My in-laws bought one after they saw mine and their cat Milo love his, too!

The media could not be loaded.  It’s a hit! My cat likes to drink water from the drip water system and didn’t always drink enough. Purchased this fountain and she took to it instantly. It’s seems well made and simply constructed. The led blue to red color change is pretty cool and a great reminder to clean and change the water. Lastly, the package includes cleaning tools and three filter pads sealing the deal. The circular pads are a common size and shape giving purchase options.05/2020 Update: Still chugging along; it’s been very reliable. My cat loves it still. Only small issue is some rust on stainless top.

My cats used to jump onto counters and beg for running water, no matter how much fresh water I put into bowls. I got this to try and they love it! I have 2 and they were both pretty wary, but I showed 1 that it's just water and he can drink it and the other learned from him. Now they both love it! I will say, they don't drink the actual part that is running but there's an area that collects water and they both drink from that without issues. It is a bit loud if there's no other noise but a TV on or even conversation is usually loud enough that I don't notice the water noise. The light is also a bit bright, especially at night, but ours is in the living room and not a problem in the bedroom (even with the door open.) Finally, the description says the light turns red if the water gets too low but I haven't noticed this. I even let it drop a little below the minimum fill line just to see but still no light color change. Even so, it's easy to see (and even hear!) when the water gets low and easy to re-fill. My boyfriend put it together in just a couple minutes without any fuss and it's been running non-stop since we got it about 6 months ago. Overall, I love it! Great purchase.

Has really helped my cat.
I bought this because my female cat was starting to spray everything in the house...including me. I did some googling and one of the options was that she may be dehydrated. Thinking about it, she does love drinking out of the tap when I turned it on, but I rarely saw her drink out of her bowl- even though it was cleaned and refreshed daily. So instead of spending crazy $$ at the vet, I thought I would first see if it was as simple as her not drinking enough water. I bought this 6 months ago and she hasn't sprayed since! She definitely drinks more water and has become a much happier and healthier cat. I change the filter monthly and have had no issues with them. I occasionally have a thin layer of green algae? form inside the bottom, which I clean. So just keep checking and cleaning. Ideally I would prefer that not to happen, but ideally I would prefer not having to have a fountain, but it is what it is. It does not seem to have made her sick, and doesn't always form. I will say after 6 months the water trickling sound has become louder for some reason. But as I keep it in the restroom, it doesn't bother me. Overall it has made a tremendous impact on my cat, which it the most important part.

Buy the round one!
I had the fancy stainless steel fountain which was a complete pain in the neck, motors clogged, build up in the water container, unwieldy to clean. I LOVE THESE SMALL PLASTIC ONES! Many cats have reactions to plastic so somebody smart finally added a stainless steel drinking trough and it was on like donkey Kong! I have a square and a round-GET THE ROUND! For some reason my square one gets really grungy green (I know, ugh) every few days. I change both filters, clean them out, but it still happens, and only in the square one. Just ordered two more round ones. My cats love them and drink a lot of water-which they always have anyway-but I like having many clean, filtered, silent, watering holes all around for them (I have a big house:).

This is the best Pet water fountain ever
I've tried other pet fountains in the past and the cats just didn't take to it. I decided to give this one a try and I'm so glad I did. It took a couple days but my oldest cat took to it first and now he drinks from it non-stop, he doesn't even bother with the water bowls. It took about a week and my 2nd boy is now loving the fountain also. It took my 3rd boy a couple weeks but after watching his brothers drink from the fountain he too is finally drinking from it. And it was this 3rd boy that was the one I really bought it for because he begs to drink from the bathroom sink and I hoped to get him to change that habit. He still wants to drink from the sink but is asking me less and less and using the fountain more and more. Now, I just have to get my one little girl to give it a try and I'll be set. But I have faith she will too. This fountain is super easy to clean! And it looks super cool with its blue light. Don't judge, but I keep it up on our kitchen island where the cats prefer to drink. They rule so whatever! So long as they are happy!
