Hard water users listen !
First of all the fountain is amazing and the newest model has a filter in front of the motor too easy to cleanTo anyone with hard water you'll want to let it soak and run in vinegar every now and again and everything is fineFor the persistent and consistent every 2 weeks with a little bitFor the lazy at least once a month with a lot of vinegarFor the stupidly lazy because you have a house of 5 cats that burn through water like tictacs and the cleaning part is almost weekly if you stayed on schedule but you have not the patience ---- your hard water will immobilize the motor and everything after about 3 months and you need to use about half the gallons worth of vinegarBut it all works no matter how often you do thisGreat stuff I have 2 of them I was so impressed with the first I got a second

She loves it!!!
My cat Tabby loves this fountain. I love it too. She has fresh filtered water all day and the fountain keeps it from getting stale. I was worried at first that she would not like the running water but after a cautious look around it to make sure nothing was going to jump out and get her. She drank from it and hasn't gone back to her old water bowl. It is really easy to assemble and comes with three filters. So I won't have to buy any for a couple of months. It is quiet I don't even hear it running. The top is stainless steel but the bottom is plastic. It is light weight and comes with a little mat to keep water from getting all over the floor.

Easy
This is very quiet (unless you run out of water). I hate the light on it. It sucks when this fountain is in your bedroom, because it’s far too bright of a blue light. The red light is nice to warn you about water levels. My light just quit working one day, which I’m actually glad about. I wish the light only came on when it was low on water.I don’t think the actual filter is great, but I’m sure that’s what you get at this price. I use filtered water in it anyway, and it’s really the movement of the water that the cats like. I have a large stainless filter, but this one is great for small spaces. It’s super easy to assemble/use/clean. Besides the bright light, this machine is great, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Silent!
TL;DR - silent, cute, easy to maintain, functionalMany moons ago I set out to find a water fountain for my cats and went through a few returns before finding one quiet enough to not scare them. The winning Pioneer Pet stainless steel raindrop model (if you're looking at cat fountains, you've seen it) lasted for years beyond its motor's expected lifetime, and though I could have purchased a replacement motor, Orange Cat likes to dunk his toys in the water dish—there's nothing so delightful as disassembling the fountain for cleaning and discovering a sopping wet toy that's been hiding up against the filter for a week—so I decided to go for something shallower and fully visible. But this time, I was going to try ONE new fountain and if it didn't work out, back to the raindrop it was. I sincerely doubted this off-brand model would be up to the task.Look, when I say this fountain is silent, I mean SILENT. Unless the water level drops low enough to make some dripping noises as the water cycles internally, it makes no sound at all. Refilling it is no problem, just pour water in the top slower than the "dish" fills up. Cleaning it is crazy-easy, I don't even need to unplug it. Just remove the top and bring it over to the kitchen sink for a rinse, replace the filter in the base, and that's it. The water in the base has never -not- been filtered (it'll make sense when you see it in action) so nothing gunky builds up in there. If the "daisy" is too cutesy for you, the fountain works without it, as more of a bubbler.It took the cats less than a day to figure out how to drink from the fountain and although Orange still gives his toys a bath, seeing and removing them is much faster. I hope the company sticks around long enough to keep making filters!

My cats are in love
Update to Update:After posting my review about the pump not working anymore I emailed the company and I got a reply back within 20 minutes by Jason Jia who offered to make it right and send me a new pump. I am just floored at the customer service. He was very nice and helpful. Working in customer service myself I know that when you give good customer service it makes the difference. Thank you Jason for making this right!Update:Sadly this has already stopped working. I have checked it over and looks like the pump already stopped working on it. Very sad and my cats are very sad too :(I was looking for something for my cats to keep them hydrated as I was worried they weren't getting enough water through out the day. When I got this item it was super easy to set up and my cats can't get enough of it. It has an LED light so it is easy to find late at night and it is very quiet I never hear it when I am in bed. I definitely recommend this to all your furry friends that need to drink a little more water. You will not regret it!

Worth every penny
My 20 yr old cat’s veterinarian wanted me to have a fountain for him to encourage him to drink more. I tried a couple others that he would use. I kept seeing this one and thought I’d give it a try. The flower on top let’s the water flow off which simulates a water faucet flow… and he loves it. He took to it immediately upon set up. It’s quiet, holds a lot of water and comes with cleaning brushes and easy yo clean. There’s a light inside that’s kind of like a nightlight within the fountain, and there’s a red light and a sensor so when the water gets too low the red light goes on… And I think it automatically turns off, but I haven’t gotten that far. Anyway we absolutely love it, and would recommend it to anybody who has a cat. The only thing I wish were different is that there were no plastic pieces inside that touches the water. The tray that the filter lays on his plastic and the flower on top is plastic but the tray itself the water drips onto is stainless steel.
