Cats took a while to figure out how to drink from it
Very easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. Comes with two little brushes to clean out the tubes, and instructions on how to clean the filter.Has a light that is blue when full; turns pink when low, so easy to tell when it needs more water.It's quietest when it's full -- almost silent. The lower the water gets in the tank, the more noise it makes, as the water is draining back into the tank from a larger distance. The noise is about on par with having one of those desktop "waterfall" things.My two cats have had electric water dishes before; due to the daisy-shaped top, it creates five small streams of water, and my cats took a bit before they figured out where they wanted to drink from it. (No stars off for this; just sort of laughed at my cats that it befuddled them for so long.)

Seems to work!
My vet recommended I get a pet fountain to encourage my two elderly cats to drink more after one of them ended up with a severe case of constipation that cost me almost $600 to fix.So far it seems to be working. I was afraid the cats might make a mess playing in it and splashing it all over the floor, but they seem to be ignoring it overall. They were unsure about it at first, but now they seem to have gotten the hang of it. They've been drinking because the water level drops. I've had to refill it once already. When it got near to empty, the blue light turned red and the motor kept shutting on and off. Once I refilled, it went back to glowing blue and the stream is steady and smooth.It doesn't make a lot of noise, especially if I use the flower in the middle. It's a little noisier without it, but not worse than, say, the filter from a fish tank.Haven't had to change the filter yet, but I like that it has one to keep the water fresh. Probably tastes better to the cats than water that has been stagnating in a bowl for several days.

Purrfect for Persian cats
The media could not be loaded.  I bought this water fountain for our Persian kitty. Having a flat face made it hard for her to drink water out of a bowl. She would always get water in her little flat nose and under her chin even though we kept her water shallow. I got tired of constantly changing her water, so when I found this unit on Amazon, I was excited for our kitty to try it out. I've had this unit for about 6 weeks and honestly can't find one negative thing to say about it. The noise level is low (I actually find it soothing 😁), it's super easy to clean and most importantly, our kitty loves it. She drinks comfortably from it and I've even caught her sticking her paw under the flower petal to groom herself. So cute!

Read this if your water pressure isn’t coming out well.
If you notice that the water pressure isn’t coming out of the fountain like it used to, you have to take the fountain apart as if you were cleaning it and open up the blue box inside of the water tank. There is a little fan inside of the blue box. The fan is what pushes the water up through the fountain. After a long time of using the water fountain, the fan gets clogged. All you have to do is take the fan out and clean it with a Q-tip and rinse it just as you would clean the whole water fountain regularly when you change the filter. Cleaning this fan will ensure that the water pressure comes out as good as the day you bought it. It’s all in the directions that came with the fountain so before you complain to Amazon or the company that makes these fountains, read the instructions and learn how to clean the fountain properly. It’s very easy to do and it’s a wonderful product if you know how to use it and take care of it.

I love it! Not sure the cats do though
I decided to try this fountain because it was a reasonable price and I am a little tired of all the work it took to replace filters on my petmate ceramic fountain. Also the ceramic has calcification on the porcelain, and I thought this would be a good swap. It is very quiet! I don't realize it is running. I love that it has an automatic turn-off when the water gets too low, as I did burn a motor out in my ceramic one over a Christmas vacation where kitties and I were gone for over two weeks. Alas, I am not the one who has to drink from it daily. I have only seen one of my three cats drinking from it. The other two are now going to the only other porcelain "fountain(s)" in the house. Yeah, you guessed it, they are drinking from the toilets. I think they would use this fountain more if the "flower" part was higher - but I'm not sure why they don't care for it and they aren't telling me

Best water fountain
I have tried several different water fountains for my cat. I purchased this one and found it to be the best one. Opened the box to a pretty blue and white flowered silicone mat. The fountain was packaged well and came with all of the pieces. Bonus 🙂 it came with 3* water filters. Easy to set up and very quiet. It is set up in my bedroom so I know how quiet it is. The blue light doubles for a night light (blue is the best color for a night light) and looks pretty on the mat. I will add that Zoe loves to drink water and this makes her drink more. I do take the flower off and use it as a bubbler she doesn't take in so much air this way. I recommend this mat for anyone looking for a pet fountain. Haven't been able to snap a picture of her at it yet...I will post when I get one.
